This is the video that everyone seems to be so amazed by, I however am not.
I watched this video and was simply not impressed by this guy and his poem and his Drakelike hip-hop video style movements. This is not to say that none of the things that he said in this video were true. He actually has made some valid points and I actually agree with a few of them. However, these were conclusions that I had already reached on my own and I am surprised that many people are acting as if he's spewing some information that wasn't available before. The things that he says about religion are true. He has everyone mesmerized because he spoke the truth in a very Dr. Seuss Style manner. If someone were saying the very same thing in a normal manner, no one would listen. Since it rhymes, I guess everyone feels compelled to listen to what he has to say. I'm not sure why more people hadn't figured out all of these things before watching this video.It is barely a secret that religion has been used to condemn and persecute others. It is also no secret that followers use their religion to look down at others. There's this notion that religion helps bring people together, but in reality it does the complete opposite. It teaches you to dislike anyone that follows a different religion or someone who has an opinion that differs from your own.
Because I have an open mind and research things for myself, I can't find myself instantly enlightened by some video on youtube...
